6.2 Magnitude earthquake puts people in panic at the Kyrgyzstan

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake helped the inhabitants on the border between the Kyrgyzstan and the Uzbekistan in panic in the Wednesday night. The earthquake occurred about 400 kilometres southwest of the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek, at a depth of only 9.2 km, was announced by the USGS Erdbebenwarte US. The epicentre was therefore 42 km South-West of the Uzbek city of Fergana. Electricity proved in the outskirts of the town of Batken, Kyrgyzstan, local authorities said in eleven villages after a transformer failed following an earthquake.
